Dr. La Chae' Swindle

Dr. LaChae’ Swindle is an accomplished educator, advocate, and leader dedicated to advancing educational equity and empowerment in Philadelphia and beyond. A proud product of the School District of Philadelphia and graduate of the High School for Creative and Performing Arts, Dr. Swindle brings both personal experience and professional expertise to her work in education.


For the past 10 years, she has served as a teacher in the School District of Philadelphia, where she is committed to creating inclusive and culturally responsive classrooms that inspire curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. She also serves as a Building Representative for the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers (PFT), advocating for educators and fostering a collaborative school culture.


Dr. Swindle earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Management from Drexel University, where her research explored community-based strategies to combat summer learning loss among students from low-income families. She holds a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Chestnut Hill College, along with Pennsylvania State Instructional II certifications in Early Childhood (PreK–4) and Special Education (PreK–8). In addition, she is Wilson Reading System Level I Certified, further demonstrating her commitment to literacy development and evidence-based instruction.


Beyond the classroom, Dr. Swindle serves as an Adjunct Professor at Eastern University and College Unbound, where she supports adult learners in connecting academic study with personal and professional growth.
As the Corresponding Secretary of the Black Women’s Educational Alliance, Dr. Swindle strengthens communication, engagement, and partnerships that uplift Black women educators and empower communities. Her career reflects an unwavering commitment to faith-driven leadership, mentorship, and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
