
Tiffany Chalmus
Tiffany L. Chalmus, MS, LPC, brings more than a decade of dynamic leadership in education, youth development, and counseling to her role as Vice President of the Black Women’s Educational Alliance (BWEA). In partnership with BWEA’s mission, to grow and support Black female leaders in all areas of education by elevating their voices, increasing their visibility, and adding value to the broader education community,Tiffany leads with vision, service, and an unwavering commitment to equity.

As the Executive Director of Out of School Time for the School District of Philadelphia, Tiffany oversees the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of high-quality after-school and summer enrichment programs across more than 90 schools. She also leads the District’s Summer Initiative, which serves over 17,000 students citywide.

Throughout her career, Tiffany has combined her expertise as a licensed professional counselor, educator, and youth program leader to advance intellectual growth, professional development, and upward mobility. She has built networks that support mentorship, developed workshops that strengthen understanding of educational policy and leadership, and led service-oriented teams dedicated to student success. These efforts echo BWEA’s objectives: fostering unity among Black women in education, developing achievement-oriented leadership, and empowering members to influence educational trends and policies.

As Vice President of BWEA, Tiffany is deeply committed to expanding the circle of Black women leaders in education, amplifying their impact, and ensuring their contributions are visible and valued. She continues to serve as a bridge between hands-on program leadership and systemic advocacy helping advance BWEA’s vision for a more inclusive, empowered, and equitable educational landscape.
